Round House

Round House is a house for two people and three automobiles. The building is embedded in a sloped site and organized around a circular driveway that flows around and under the cantilevered upper floor. The parking areas for the collectible autos are situated such that they are visible from the interior, producing a kind of inside-out gallery for displaying the machines.The upper level consists of a single loft bedroom and terrace. The house is made from reinforced concrete with a custom bush-hammered envelope that varies in depth and relief, producing multiple readings as one moves around the site.
