Centennial Chromagraph at UMN's Architecture Centennial Reunion Party

November 3, 2013

Centennial Chromagraph was formally unveiled on Friday, October 25, as alumni, students, faculty, and friends of the University of Minnesota School of Architecture gathered in Ralph Rapson Hall to celebrate the School's 100th anniversary. The Chromagraph, designed and built by Variable Projects this past summer, anchored this high-energy celebration, serving as both a sculptural centerpiece and a vibrant data visualization of the School's history. Guests (estimated to number over 1000) filled Rapson Hall to the brim, mingling around the installation as well as the upper balcony, which fatured a terrific exhibition of 100 years of drawings by UMN Architecture alumni. See above for some pictures from the reunion party; for more, see the extended album of the weekend's festivities on UMN College of Design Facebook page. (Photos: Daniel Raznick, Jordan Barlow)
