Architectural Ecologies Lab Launches at California College of the Arts

September 20, 2018

On September 13-14, the Constructing Architectural Ecologies symposium marked the official launch of the Architectural Ecologies Lab at California College of the Arts. The lab is a new research unit directed by Adam Marcus, along with his CCA colleagues and research partners Margaret Ikeda and Evan Jones. The lab is dedicated to interdisciplinary research between architects, scientists, and manufacturers working together to address ecological challenges. The symposium, an affiliate event of the Global Climate Action Summit organized by California Governor Jerry Brown, featured a keynote by Dr. Adrian Parr of the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as six other presenters from a variety of disciplines discussing the relationship between architecture and the natural environment.
