On August 13, Adam Marcus joined colleagues Liz Camuti (Tulane School of Architecture) and Tsz Yan Ng (University of Michigan’s Taubman College) to present ongoing research into 3D printed ceramic facades at the 2024 Architectural Ceramic Assemblies Workshop (ACAW), an annual symposium organized by the University at Buffalo, Carnegie Mellon University, and Boston Valley Terracotta. The team presented prototypes from their project Hygroscopic Envelope, which is studying the capacity for 3D printed ceramic facade modules to retain and detain stormwater.
